Senior Java Developer/Lead (Multiple roles)

Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced Java technical lead to be responsible for providing solutions for technical issues which may affect product delivery. The Java technical lead will facilitate requirement analyses, conduct peer reviews and provide feedback, and enhance frameworks.

To be successful as a Java technical lead, you should demonstrate sound knowledge of industry best practices, good organizational and leadership skills, and proficiency in Java technologies. Ultimately, a top-notch Java technical lead should have good analytical skills, the ability to anticipate issues and frame remedial actions, and excellent teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Contribute in the technical design and development of applications using existing and emerging technology platforms
• Conduct design and code reviews, validate conformance with established standards and best practices
• Design and build scalable features for the Global Servicing and Sales Platform
• Design RESTful APIs needed to address business requirements
• Participates in design, code, and test inspections throughout product life cycle to identify issues
• Lead the team through enterprise level software development, integration, and implementation of SOA/Microservice architecture
• Design, develop, debug and deploy applications
• Review, setup and support application upgrades
• Utilize middleware technologies, REST and SOAP APIs to integrate with other existing/new enterprise systems
• Apply unit testing frameworks like JUnit as part of the development cycle
• Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders in both Technology and the Business outside your immediate area of expertise, and affect real change in both business process and technical architecture

Requirements and skills

• Work experience as a Senior Java Developer or similar role
• Experience designing, building and testing Java EE applications
• In-depth knowledge of popular Java frameworks like JSF and Spring MVC, Core Java(1.6 or higher), Spring(Core, MVC, Batch), Spring Boot, Struts(Not Mandatory), Ibatis or Hibernate, JMS(Java Messaging Service), Oracle Database, JBOSS Application Server(Not Mandatory)
• Experience with Object-Oriented Design (OOD)
• Good delegation and time management skills
• Problem-solving abilities
